Carl Froch and John Fury found themselves the stars of the show when Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov came face to face recently.
Although the world’s media were in attendance to see the heavyweight pair promote their April clash, the attention quickly switched to Fury’s father and Froch.
The former world champion who is now outspoken on his YouTube channel has criticised Fury in the past and he was working at the press conference in a pundit capacity for Netflix.
When Fury Sr arrived at the event, he made it clear he wanted to blast Froch and he walked through the press conference shouting insults at the Nottingham man.
In the aftermath, the pair both challenged each other to a fight on the undercard of Fury vs Makhmudov, but it looks unlikely that an actual fight will take place.
Despite no official confirmation of the fight, the boxing world has been talking about the potential outcome and Eddie Hearn, Froch’s former promoter, has had his say.
“I like it. That’s great. I’d like to see it go off if I’m honest with you, do you know what I mean?” said Hearn when speaking to The Stomping Ground.
“John Fury is a big lump, but I’d actually back Carl Froch against virtually anyone on the cobbles.”
