Chris Eubank Jr has featured in many high-profile British grudge matches and he’s provided his opinion on another one with Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury close to an agreement to face off later this year.
The heavyweight rivals have been at each other’s throats for the best part of a decade, but it looks like they will finally step into the ring together at the end of this year.
Eubank Jr, now campaigning at super-middleweight after a loss to Conor Benn last, has played his part in some huge domestic clashes after sharing the ring with Benn, Liam Smith, and Billy Joe Saunders.
His next move is still unknown, but that hasn’t prevented him from offering his verdict on other fights including Joshua vs Fury.
Joshua first faces Kristian Prenga on July 25 with Fury expected to fight sometime in August. If both men come through their fights, then they will move forward towards one of the biggest British fights of all time.
“I think AJ has been a lot more disciplined than Fury has during his career, and I think he is probably in a better headspace right now. Probably [better] physically too,” said Eubank Jr when speaking to
“I wasn’t impressed by Fury’s last fight [with Arslanbek Makhmudov]… I think if that fight happens, then AJ probably has the edge.”
