Peter Fury does not see any way that Jake Paul can be victorious when he faces Anthony Joshua in Florida next month.
The novice fighter shocked the world last week when he announced that he would be taking on the former two-time heavyweight champion in a professional contest over eight rounds.
In recent years, Paul has been criticised for his level of competition, but he has upped the level in 2025 after facing former middleweight ruler, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr earlier this year in a contest he won well on points.
Once that fight was out the way, Paul jumped into a contest with Gervonta Davis, but that fight was cancelled in the build-up after organisers pulled the fight due to legal issues awaiting the Baltimore man.
In steps Joshua who is hoping to rebuild his career after a sensational loss to Daniel Dubois in 2024 when he was stopped in five rounds at Wembley Stadium.
The Englishman is aiming to secure a huge fight against Tyson Fury in 2026, and his fellow Brit’s former trainer believes that Joshua will get the job done against Paul.
“I don’t give [Paul] any chance,” said Fury when speaking to Boxing Now.
“Joshua has had his flaws, but you’re talking about a two-time world champion, somebody that’s got power to put your lights straight out.”
